First Visit
Club Access:
When accessing the venue, enter through the main reception and head directly to the viewing gallery or changing rooms located to the left of the reception desk. Â

Changing Rooms: Â The changing rooms are open and available to use before and after your lessons. We understand it is not always possible to arrive beach ready or some swimmers just may not take to this way of working. Once you have changed your swimmer please make your way around to the viewing gallery entering via the external door. Unfortunately we are unable to allow swimmers to cut across over poolside for safety reasons at the request of the venue management. Â Â

Identifying your teacher:Â
When attending for your first lesson please notify the class teacher that it is your first visit to the lessons. This will help the class teacher locate you on the class list.Â
Dalkeith is used by multiple providers, you can identify the Stepping Stones swim team by their bright blue teaching tops which will have the Stepping Stones Logo on the back.Â
Spectating & Viewing
Spectating is permitted within Dalkeith High School Campus. The viewing is poolside and can become hot. The viewing gallery can become very busy, please be mindful of other users when using the viewing gallery.Â

Parents are not permitted onto poolside, if you need to assist with a toilet break during the lesson please exit the viewing gallery via the corridor and return to the changing rooms via the connecting hall.

Arriving for your lessons: Beach Ready Â
During the pandemic swimmers were asked to arrive "beach ready" for their lessons. This basically means arriving with swim kit on beneath their regular clothing. For many this has continued as it is a quick and easy way for the children to get changed before their lessons. This means as a parent you can head directly to the viewing gallery allow your swimmer to prepare before the lesson without the need to visit the changing rooms. Â
Â
If this works for you we would encourage you to continue doing this, it helps reduce the pressure on the changing areas and allows swimmers exiting the pool space in the changing areas. Â

Filming & PhotographyÂ
Please note we have a strict no photography and filming policy. Please do not use your mobile phone to take pictures or record the lessons. Failure to do so may result in your membership being cancelled.

*To access the viewing gallery please head directly there entering via the external door, Unfortunately we are unable to allow swimmers to cut across over poolside for safety reasons at the request of the venue management Â
